LAS VEGAS, NV – A gold medal in curling from the United States Olympic team put the country’s curling fever at an all time high. Then all of a sudden the Olympics ended and those red and yellow stones stopped sliding across our television screens. The good news is the World Men’s Curling Championship is coming to the United States – along with the gold medal – at the end of March and Las Vegas is the host city.

It’s the first time in ten years that the championship will be hosted in the United States. The event will be held at the Orleans Arena from March 31 through April 8. Thirteen teams will play 12 games in round-robin format. The top six teams will play in a playoff and pared to a medal round for the final four.

Twelve teams from around the globe will come to America to seek revenge on the Olympic Champs.

Teams from Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Scotland, Norway, Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Russia, and Switzerland will join the United States.

The Swedish runner up team in this year’s Olympics will participate in Las Vegas for their shot at redemption at the home of the country that defeated them.
